ABOUT GBRC

Greater Blackville Resource Centre is a 100% volunteer operated registered charity with a clear vision – to assist persons in need and promote unity in the community.

We do this through various projects, but the majority of our effort goes into the operation of the Food Bank here in Blackville. The Food Bank does not receive regular financial support from any level of government and all revenue comes from our grants, fundraising activities, and generosity of the local community.

We are proud to say that with the help of our dedicated volunteers and community support we have been self-sufficient since first opening in 2012, and have been providing food boxes every month to those in need.

Our community projects have included the Community Food Mentors program, a Community Garden, Community Kitchen, and Soup’s On, which offered free home-cooked meals in the community.

2023/24 Board of Directors

GBRC is run by a board of directors and a small group of dedicated volunteers.

Founder & President: Rev. Albertine LeBlanc
Co-Founder: John LeBlanc
Treasurer: Lois Hare
Directors: Fr. Gerry Laskey, Denise Connors, Jill Airhart, Arden Sturgeon

MAKE A DONATION

Financial contributions help us purchase perishable and other food items that we don’t receive as donations and are needed to distribute to clients each month.
